“ The Burns is an absolute gem of a pub, striking the perfect balance between cozy charm and lively atmosphere. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with warm lighting, rustic wooden accents, and a welcoming ambiance that makes you want to settle in for the evening. The staff here are fantastic--friendly, efficient, and always ready with a great recommendation. One of the standout features of The Burns is their rotating selection of pot pies, offering a different flavor every day. Today, I had the bison and blackberry pot pie, and it was out of this world. The rich, savory bison paired beautifully with the slight sweetness of the blackberry, all wrapped in a perfectly golden, flaky crust. It's the kind of dish that lingers in your memory long after the last bite. Whether you're popping in for a quick pint or staying for a hearty meal, The Burns delivers on all fronts. With its inviting setting, exceptional service, and creative, comforting food, it's the kind of place you'll find yourself returning to again and again. Highly recommended! ”
“ We have gone here twice and had different experiences both times. The whiskey expert was amazing and had really great insights. We tried to pick on our own the second time but wished we had asked for an opinion :) Fish and chips - One large fish, but great crispy batter - Fries could use more of a crisp and slightly more salt - Portions are adequate Bison and Blackberry Pie - Rich gravy - Ground bison which is a little lackluster - Blackberry doesn't add as much as you think. You'd need more to feel the flavor - Nice little onions - More vegetables would break up the texture more, since the tiny carrots tended to blend in with the texture of the bison. Very lacking there :( Rueben - Great dish! Surprisingly nice Overall this is a nice place to eat out and definitely out of the norm. I admit I'm not a chef, but I think a few tweaks here and there to certain dishes would be merited. Service is ok, sometimes they are a little brusque and not very chummy. I asked how the bison meal was prepared out of curiosity and she told me she imagined they ground the bison. It came off as sarcastic and rude if I'm being honest but I was truly just curious. ”
“ When we arrived to this place it was packed. Like, extra parking lot packed. That being said, don't let that deter you from going in! The staff are super efficient, friendly, and will get you seated in good order. We didn't even wait 15minutes and we were seated. This place is very much a traditional English Pub environment. Multiple small rooms, great tap selection, and amazing food. We ordered the fish and chips with the Vegan Marsala. Easiest decisions on the night and it was fantastic. If you want a hearty meal, amazing liquor selection, and an enjoyable time - you've found the spot. ”
“ Perfect way & place to end 2021! Hands down THE BEST! I lived in the UK for a number of years and this place is the closest I've come to a proper pub this side of the pond & I'm pretty well traveled. We thoroughly enjoyed our time. It's exactly what you want a pub to be. There was a roaring fire, seriously great music and the most authentic and delicious UK food. My Family said the corn beef poutine was the best thing that ever eaten! I didn't eat that because I'm vegan, but I was able to eat many things on the menu and of course, the whiskey . Our server was so accommodating and kind. I think her name was Jenna. The snow was falling pretty heavy by the time I took the pictures & added to the perfection of the evening. It really was a perfect place to begin 2022. ”
“ I love this restaurant so much. Everything that I've ever ordered has been delicious and it has such a cozy vibe. We always bring friends and family from out of town. One of our favorite things was to come and get some whiskey or a Guinness and a bowl of French Onion Soup, which was only available during the winter. We went for dinner last night and it seems like they only serve French Onion during lunch now, which was disappointing. I did end up trying a new menu item, the Irish Stew, which was fantastic! I definitely recommend checking it out. I guess we just have to try and come for lunch instead of dinner now if we want our favorite soup. ”
“ We were here for a birthday. If the main parking lot is full, there is an additional parking lot just to the west of the main. It was a Thursday evening and the pub was hopping. Our wait for a table was less than 10 minutes. Our server, Sarah, got things going with our beverages. The birthday boy loves their in-house ginger beer and was looking forward to that. My husband and I both opted for draft Guinness. Always a good choice. The guys ordered fish and chips, a classic. I got their Corned Beef Poutine. Poutine is a favorite of mine so I couldn't resist. It had their hand cut chips, topped with gravy, sharp cheddar and their house brined corned beef. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Mine was delicious. Of course, the birthday boy needed a dessert and opted for the crème brûlée. We each had a taste and he devoured the rest. Always a good choice to come here. ”
“ First time coming here. It was a cool night so we decided to sit outside and enjoy the ambiance. I ordered the Beef Wellington because it's been awhile since I ate at a place that offered it. It was delicious and cooked perfectly. Paired with an English Spotted Hen beer, it was a great combination. Will definitely come back. ”
“ Food and atmosphere were good, but our bartender Jesse really made the experience great! Praise worthy selection of whiskeys to try as well. Can't wait to come back and try some other menu items! ”
“ Another great lunch! Service and meals were both excellent! Drinks and entrees were delivered promptly. They were very busy, but this did not impact their service nor friendly attitude. Very cozy with fireplace going. Plenty of parking as well. ”
